I really loved the final 5 American idol group song last night. It was moving to see Aaron Kelly got rid of but I believe the other singers were better so he had to go!

seriously. I really can’t stand American Idol, not even on a “oh, I’m drunk and WHATEVER” basis. I would kick all these kids out. even my own.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who caught the bit about the $50 bet. I’m also glad I didn’t have any food in my mouth at the time–it caught me totally off guard.

Actually if it were me–

Hey, it’s GOING to be me in another ten years (my daughter’s three), and if it isn’t Idol it’ll be something else, but whatever it is, I hope she can keep it in perspective. What’ll be worse, Clay Aiken’s kid getting voted off, or Jenna Bush getting elected?

OMG! I had to watch it, based only on the fact that your comments made me think of my current method of parenting…YELL. AS. LOUD. AS. YOU. CAN.
The best part was close to the end, where the one girl says “I bet $50 on this. I don’t even HAVE $50!!”

Glad I have boys who don’t care about American Idol!

My reaction would be similar to yours. I don’t know if I could deal with a room of screaming, crying teenage girls, especially if American Idol was the source of all of the angst.
