Go Steelers!! They aren't my number one faves (it's very difficult to be a Detroit fan), but we'll be rooting for them on February 1st.

I look at football as a way to spend time with my husband. Seriously. Maybe it's blue collar, maybe it's my rural raising, but every Sunday from August through December, we sit on the couch together, hold hands, and often root for opposing teams. It's bonding, that's what it is!

"It’s not really The Win, you see. It’s getting the chance to see people who you normally pass on the street and maybe grunt at just…happy."

I couldn't possibly agree more.

I have very little interest in football overall and am really just a mediocre Steelers fan in comparison to the bulk of this city. But I watched the game on edge and was signing and dancing with much enthusiasm when we won. It's a great feeling for this city of ours, and you can feel the energy.

I'm actually glad we've got two more weeks of this kind of happiness. And hopefully more to follow after the game.
