Me and the husband roller skating in Detroit. Like ya do.

Hello. I’m kdiddy and you’ve reached kdiddy.org. Prior to being at this location, I kept a LiveJournal for over five years. Pretty much anything you need to know about me can be found there.

As for my vital stats, I can tell you that I’m 31. I’ve been married a little over four years to The Husband, who was officially The Boyfriend for about six years prior to that. We have a 8-year-old son. I rarely, if ever, use their names out of respect for their privacy (or what’s left of it after 8 years of blogging), but I trust that you can figure out that the recurring characters referred to as “the husband” and “the baby” are those fine gentlemen.

I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003 with a degree in writing, so there’s my credentials. I completed my MA in Professional Writing at Carnegie Mellon University in December 2009. I worked on that bad boy for 3.5 years, slowly chipping away at it part-time while working full-time. I’m proud of that accomplishment, but it was extremely stressful and therefore not a course of action that I would recommend.

I’m still adjusting to life without graduate school hanging over my head. I still don’t feel that I’ve totally relaxed and the economy and our accumulated student debt keeps me awake at night sometimes. I surely devote too much time to writing for my own pleasure, but it’s really my sanctuary. I’m not a woman of many talents, but somehow words have always worked for me.

In addition to this little corner of the internet, you can also find me over at MamaPop.com, where I write pop culture nuggets, and at We Covet, where I hold up shiny baubles.

If you need to reach me, please send email to kdiddy.org at gmail.com.
